CONCEPT: Evaluation of C3+ and C2+ Saudi Arabian NGL extraction facility
OVERVIEW: Conceptual design and key decision support for 1 BSCFD C3+ NGL extraction facility coupled with 300 MBD GOSP. Key decisions included NGL extraction technology selection, pretreatment and liquid treating configuration, heating media, electric motor drive vs. engine drive compression, degree of integration with an adjacent Gas-Oil Separation facility (GOSP), and whether to extract ethane. Facilities in the assessment included reception, pretreatment (DGA amine and mole sieve), NGL extraction, product storage, liquid product treating, SRU, elemental sulfur processing, and pipeline export facilities. Our design activities included an open-art comparison of C2+ and C3+ recovery technologies to licensor offering to ensure highest value for our client in Saudi.
